Well the bigger the better of course. But the Minimum size is 300g. I'll be doing more than the minimum for mine of course.

How much is 'more than the minimum'? They get 4 feet long I cant imagine them in any less than 1000 gallons...if i had one i would have more than 1000 gallons because that still seems to small to me

Well we're still debating on how big exactly we'll go. Still going to take all things into consideration. The fishs health is most important, but money is still an issue.

If it werent I would own SeaWorld.

More important than the volume of water is the foot print of the aquarium. Which really doesnt affect the price of the aquarium. Height is where the cost really comes in. So far we're thinking 8ft by 4ft for the foot print. If he out grows that, then theres always the option to go bigger.

He's in good hands with us.
