BPs by definition have no species, just genusxgenus. I suppose they will disappear if people stop producing them.

Hey JimG glad to see you sticking up for the good old BP's.

I agree 100% with what he says, Bp's may have deformed mouths(less and less these days) but thats about all.In fact fancy goldfish have far more odd shaped swim bladders than BP's do.

As you can see by my sig, I do have a liking for BP's(any other BP fans feel free to drop by my forum) but I agree with the statement, IF YOU DONT LIKE THEM THEN DONT BUY THEM.I do feel sorry for the poor dyed ones.Sadly more and more cichlids are being dyed, I saw albino convicts dyed blue and green and there were even a few dyed firemouths
