I haven't done any black backs yet.

I tried something new to me, with my 30 gal. Painted it brown. I thought it might work good with plants.

Anywayyyy....

Something that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

If the tanks back, will be againt a wall. As in, no light comming from the back. You don't need to cover it so thick, that sun light won't penetrate it.

I've sprayed all of mine with whatever spray brand?
And have never put so much on that the sun won't penetrate through. But once it's in the house, and against the wall. You'd never know the difference.

P.S.
I just went over to my tank and stuck the 30wt fixture behind the tank. lol ewwwww!

I'll see about getting a pic up of it showing, how, not covered in paint it is.

yea, thats what I was thinking.

This is the first time I've done that. I know this image will be in my mind the next time I paint one.
With "back" lighting placed in the budget.
