i am hopefully fully cycled and will now start process of stocking will post more pics in a while. the cucumbers are all attached to rocks so i may need to cut them off to get rid of them.

the pics posted show what i think may be cucumbers, the red thing extened out is what i am refering to. the thing will retract and has like three openings that close and open

It may be red sponge. As for the aiptasia, I would get some of them nudibranches to keep them happy. Do read up on them, cute little buggers.

If it is a cucumber, I'll take em. But it does not sound like they are.

what I am assuming to be a cucumber is on all pics posted, it is to the lower left of tank and then there is one big close up pic of it as well. has the red openings looks like it be a pickle....

Here is a page on sea cucumbers...about 1/2 way down is the anatomy of one. http://tolweb.org/Holothuroidea/19240 Maybe this will explain the confusion of why one would have several openings and need to be cut off a rock. If you do have a sea cucumber stressing it could release toxins you do not want in your water. The photos do show a lot of life on the rocks without a doubt. Some macro algae, nusiance algae, sponges, pest anemones, looks like some polyps, etc. But sorry I'm not seeing a "red cucumber with 3 openings"
