As many already know vinegar is a safe cleaner to use on heavy deposits on the inside of the aquarium but you can use it on the outside too as a safe and effective cleaner. If you mix 1/2 cup vinegar to a quart of water and put it in a clean spray bottle you will have a safe all around aquarium cleaner. Mark the bottle with the formula and "For aquarium use only". Spray onto a clean rag first for above the waterline cleaning.

Works great on windows too.

Every so often I hear of tanks crashing and it sometimes comes down to the use of chemicals of one sort or another being used. I have hard water here and a 4yr old who leaves hand prints. Using water alone leaves a haze on the glass and just smears some hand prints. It's for these reasons I feel the use of a safe and effective cleaner is a good tip.

cap1384... White vinegar is what is commonly used.

here is a MG tip..... i never clean the glass problem solved..... lol
Your pictures will turn out much better with clean glass Mg. Think about the site.
