On 3/24/13 we lost our beautiful Farah Francesca to polycystic kidney disease. Having had three silver persians in my life over the past 35 years, it was imperative that I get another to fill the great void left with the passing of our darling Farah. I was online the next day looking for a new kitten. I found the best silver breeder (multiple grand champions, etc.), but it took 5 months to persuade the breeder to let me have a kitten.

Lady Farah Leilani Kale'a is now 15 months old. (Her father is a grand champion from Hawaii) (Kale'a means "joy", Leilani means "heavenly flower") (Her mother is grand champion Sanmar Rosebud.)

Lady Farah is a very vocal, active, playful cat.

Darn. About 4-5 years ago, I found an abandoned kitten, eyes barely open, in the middle of a rural highway. We took her in and named her Shirley. The first night we had her, we put her in the bathtub so she didn't get into anything. We woke up the next morning with her sleeping on the couch with our Greyhound/australian shepherd mix Emma. Wondering how it happened we put Shirley back in the tub. 12 seconds of her mewing and Emma went over, picked her up in her mouth and carried her back to the couch to cuddle.

Now, WHile I was reading this, Emma was asleep by the couch (she's about 14 years old now) Shirley was sitting near me, and I had our 6 month old rat( we got last week) Laverne on my lap. Laverne and Shirley are just meeting for the first time while Im reading this thread and I didn't get a pic. But they seem to like eachother, so Ill share if I can.

And I can't forget my work cat....this is Sixx, she's a polydactyl cat, and our Vermin Control Specialist at work!

Sixx reminds me of our previous outside vermin control cat--her name was Gyppo

After she passed away, my husband brought home Lili, who leaves presents for her family at the front and back doors. She is quite the hunter. Here she is sitting on the wood pile looking in through the window.

Lady Farah Leilani Kale'a was lonely, so we drove 740+ miles to get her a companion--Sir Sampson.
