It's looking healed today...will take photos when camera batteries have recharged! Do I have to finish the Melafix course (does it on Saturday) or can I put him in now?

Corrie dear, water changes would be a much better option but if Ory is doing well with Melafix, I'd say finish its course as recommended.
OK will do - I've been doing WCs and Melafix. It's so tiring! Main tank is looking thoroughly neglected! Ok some pics...pretty self-explanatory really, apart from the one where it's just his tail. This is my 'art' shot...if only the rest of his body had been in the photo, that would have been one to print out and frame! Although maybe I should work on focus first...
I'm SO glad I didn't do anything lasting. When I first did it I thought it was the end for him...I've never been so upset about any pet. I am so pleased he has recovered so well, and so quickly! I figured it would take months to heal, and he's already there. Yay! Thanks for all the good advice, especially Lupin!
No problem, Corrie. Goldfish are surprisingly fast at recovering in most cases. I am just glad Ory has done well so far.:thumbsup: I've been so attached to him since I saw your photos of him.
