We have to accept a lot of the responsibility, though, we can't point the finger at others and then not take it when it is rightly turned on us. Humans have been responsible for the extiction of many species (dodo, thylacine, countless birds). I think that we may be doing it inadvertently at times but others there is no excuse, such as overfishing and deforestation...

We are close to 100% responsible for all these extinctions. Period. Wether its the Carolina Parakeet or this.....its our fault!

Please again quit blaming all humans, its not all humans, its certain areas of the world where people dont understand there affects on earth.

3rd world countries obviously dont know any better.

A while ago a dog attacked a higher power in the Chinese government, this led to the murder of over 2,000,000 dogs in china, do you blame all dogs for the few that bit the higher power? the answer is no, you only blame the dogs that did it.

So only blame the people who did it, not humans as a whole.

Compare us to places like china, dude its not our fault. Quit blaming a group for something a select few did.

See, this is the problem. Say we compare ourselves to China, and then we are like "We're not as bad as them." I don't think North America can justify their actions just because they are better then China.

A select few? Thats crazy. USA and Canada have done in many species. Like the Passenger Pigeon, Carolina Parakeet, the Cougar in Eastern North America (its still lives in the west), Sea Mink, Great Auk, Labrador Duck, Eskimo Curlew, Tacoma Pocket Gopher, Souther California Kit Fox, Wake Island Rail, Bachman's Warbler, Saint Croix Racer, Vegas Valley Leopard Frog, and the list just goes on and on. North America did that, not China.

Second, we Australians are just as bad, we introduced so many pest species to our island continent; rabbits, foxes, pigeons and mynah birds, wild pigs, camels, brumbys... all of these destroy the natural environment for the animals, many have been forced into extinction through our reckless, careless and negligent actions.

The scariest story of them all is up north in Queensland, the sugar cane crop was being devestated by a certain type of beetle, we introduced cane toads to get rid of them.
Now the cane toads are a plague, they've spread throughout most of that region in Qld now they're moving to other states.

We're all just as bad in our own ways, China is a developing nation, not a third-world country, we consider ourselves as developed nation (so called 'first world') it's just as bad that we can do these unneccessarily

while an extinction truly sucks, i refuse to believe that humans are the sole cause of any of it without SOLID NON-wiki PROOF. (that's not to say that we aren't at least partly responsible, but who better to point our fingers at than our fellow humans?)

extinction is a part of evolution.. without it, the world would not move on.
