That is incorrect. Blue Pearl Shrimp and Cherry Shrimp are NOT the same species. They are the same genus, and they can hybridize, but they are not the same species. Either way, that is not relevant because the shrimp in the pictures are not Blue Pearl Shrimp anyway.

What are they?

That is impossible to say from those pictures. I personally would not put them in with any other species of shrimp because of the possible hybrids that may occur!

But just because a shrimp is the same genus as another that does not mean they can breed together.

There are many shrimp that are Caridina that can not breed with other Caridina species.
