That really isn't much of a deal if it stops at 40g; I can get a 40g from my LFS for about $60. And the smaller tanks like 10g, 20g, etc pretty much already cost a dollar per gallon or just a little more. So I suppose that unless I had been dreaming of a new smaller sized tank and this sale is just coming with good timing, I have no reason to take any advantage of the savings except just for the sake of it. Oh well. I was hoping to pick up a 75g with this sale but I guess that's the end of that.

I work at Petco, it's 20-55 gallon rectangular, all glass aquariums. First come first served, you're lucky they let you buy and then do the whole return/resell thing, we're not suposed to. In the past we've taken rain checks once we've sold out of tanks, but not suposed to this year - but I bet that'll vary between Petco's as well.

Yes, I thought it was up to 55 gallons but maybe it is different at different Petco's. Shouldn't be since Coraporate headquarters seems to run everything but you never know. Anyway, I have to figure out a way to get another 55 gallon into my house without too much disruption.

shame this sale is US only... tanks here run pretty exp at petsmart aside from 10 gallon tanks which seem to be cheaper then 5 gallon tanks and 2.5gallon tanks at petsmart......go figure
