Alright I tried to post this yesterday, but my internet has been a bit funny...

Anyways, here are some really crappy photos taken with a really crappy camera I borrowed from work:

Installed one side of the fiberglass background... it no longer floats, and isn't super shiny anymore:

Big fat "peaches" the oscar who's decided to start eating his tank mates.

My 9" silver Aro... who I can never get a decent picture of because he's always swimming between me and the lights.

Nice tank, i didn't realise you could make tanks from ply wood. i am totaly up for building me one of those. My girlfrend is not keen, she has issues with the long term water tightness.
I might have to make one at work and smuggle it home when finished.

Do a google search... there are a ton of people with plywood tanks. As long as your craftsmanship is decent, it'll hold up.

OK! finally some photos!!

Here are some snapshots of my sump work in progress. If you followed the thread from the beginning, you'll know I currently have a plywood and epoxy 70gal sump. The sump is 4' long, 18" deep, and 18" tall. It seemed awesome when I first made it, but it's not pretty, and the mechanical filtration area is pretty wimpy for the load I'm throwing at it. It also eats up all the space under the tank. I designed a new one with 4X the mechanical filtration, that is a bit taller at 27" at the tallest point, but is only 33" long, so I'll have more room for other stuff (like an FX5!!).

I also took a bunch of pics last night trying to get a decent photo of the fat oscar. none of them are very good, but you get the idea I'll try to get some updated pics of everyone else today.

hmmm, well nothing illustrates the need for a tank cleaning like trying to take pics. I got a half decent one of my aro (half decent by my standards anyways). Time for a water change I guess.
