Thats not exactly true. The second my lights turn off on my SW my clowns swim to their little cave and sleep.

Fish do not need lighting, and it actually makes no odds, as long as they do effectivly get a dusk / dawn cycle...and believe me, your fish wont go to sleep as soon as you turn off the lights..

Then what do you call it when they go straight to their cave and swim in place for 13 hrs? Sleeping.

It's normal for fish to go hide immediately after the light is out. It's not necessary to sleep, but it's survival instinct to avoid nocturnal predator they cannot be on the look out for. And when you talk about "sleep", it's not like how it is for human, or even mammals. Far less percentage of their brain goes to rest than it is for humans, therefore it is not NEARLY as important as it is for us when you talk about general health. Fish in the wild get as much "true rest" as they are allowed to by surrounding environment.
