New 65 gallon tank, Stocking plan help

Hi everyone, There’s this new tank that I’m going to be getting next week, I’m not sure of the exact dimensions, but it’s definitely 4ft long, and around about 65 gallons. I’m writing to get some ideas about compatible fish for a peaceful active community.




This is how I’m thinking at the moment:

4 angels
2 pearl gouramis
5 long finned zebra danios (or scissor tail rasboras if they look like they’ll get eaten by pictus)
5 serpae (or similar) tetra
5 rosy barbs

3 pictus cats
1 rainbow shark

What do you think of my stocking plan so far? Can anyone see any compatibility problems I may have over looked? Overstocked or can I add a couple more down the road? I’m thinking a pair of blue rams when the tank gets well established.

I'd scatch the Rainbow shark. Also, sometimes Serpaes can be nippy so that might not be such a good combination with the Angels. I'm not sure about the Rosys and if they're nippy or not but if you scratched the Serpaes then you could bump the numbers of the Rosys or Danios up, since they are schooling fish. Be prepared to remove one or two of the Angels if 2 of them pair up and spawn. They become very territorial when they're spawning or eggs/babies are present and will really bug the other angels in the tank.
 
I don't like mixing fin nippers like serpaes with angels. I'd look into a school of less aggressive tetras, perhaps emperor tetras.
 
Ok, so Serpae are too nippy. That's good to know. Unfortunately emperor tetra are unavailable in the area i'm in. Black Skirt tetra are readily available, how are they with Angels? I'm also trying to get ones that can not get eaten by the pictus.

Edit: Red phantoms look good, I'll see if my LFS can get them for me.
 
Hard to predict how black skirts can go with angelfish. They may or may not nip. If you want something similar, there's always the Megalampodus megalopterus.
 
The Black phantom, and white tipped tetra look fantastic and I saw some this afternoon at the store too, so I'm glad I asked you guys to get a good idea of what's out there.

I'm curious though, can I ask why no rainbow shark? Are they nippy too?
 
Really? OK, I'm glad I asked now. They'd probably suit an agressive tank of tiger barbs or cichlids right?

About Angel fish being agressive towards each other during spawning, Is having only the breeding pair in there the only way to manage their agression? Are they agressive to other fish of different species too? Are angel fish able to be kept as 2 males or 2 females?

the rainbow sharks do better with large barbs like tigers that can hold their own and avoid the aggression better. I've seen them in tanks with lesser aggreessive South Americans and Central American cichlids too.

for the angels, I'd keep it at one proven pair once you get to that point.
