Funny Story

Acanthicus adonis are one of the few plecos that will happily hunt down and kill other fish. They will bully any other inhabitants and actually swim through the water to grab at things. When they say they'll easily dominate a 1000 gallon tank as adults, they aren't kidding. They actually wonder how the heck the species can perpetuate as they're notoriously intolerant of each other. Take it back to your store quick!

$13 for an adonis? I really do need to move to the states! It seems like you have less choice of LFS over there, but SO much cheaper prices. I remember seeing one in a public aquarium last year and thinking "I want one of those"!
