We've Got Fish!!!!

Yeah but they are going to be in our 8 gallon Bio-cube for 4 weeks. If they settle down do you think they will make the 4 weeks?

Hmmm...Quite a valid point....If that is the case, then one should go back...i would not house these two together in there..

OK well I can't make this choise by myself so I'm going to wait to talk to the girl friend. I going to guess that we are going to wait and see if it keeps happening and only then will we decide what we will do with them.

Nice fish...I really like the coloring on the lawnmower.

Ummm, I know this goes against the "general rule" of QT, but why not stick one in your 75G? I would keep the lawnmower and watchman in QT, but put the bi-colored in the 75G since I think it is the most aggressive of the 3. You can still use the 75G as a QT, just watching the bi-colored to make sure it stays healthy. Ya, it would suck if it got ich or something that could harm your tank, so it is not without its risks.. but it is an option to consider. But you know my habits.. I do things that are frowned upon but have been very lucky not having any disease/parasite problems others experience. I dealt with all that in my FW days.. luckly not in my SW days.. algea outbreaks is another story though.. have had my share of those.

Tomorrow is finally my big day.. gonna hurt a little.. I am getting rid of my anemone and a clown and I am really nervous about it because I found out about the tank they are going into and I am scared. It is a 150G tank, 200lb live rock, setup for a reef, but currently houses predators. A baby porcupine puffer and a dwarf lion fish. Not sure how either the anemone or clown will do in that tank. I did have a porcupine puffer with my anemone and clown in the beginning of my reef adventure and no one bothered each other, but the puffer went back to the LFS within 6 months due to growing up real fast. Ya, the tank is bigger, and the predators are smaller than average, neither could eat the clown... but it is still tough. I have been trying to find a home for them for 4 months now but no one wanted the anemone, just the clown, and I said it is a pair or nothing. This is the first offer in 4 months that someone said they will take both, and it is my favorite LFS that takes care of the tank for them and he swore to me they both would be well taken care of, so we will see.

are all 3 fish in the 8g? congrats on getting fish finally!

yes they are all in the 8gal Bio-Cube.

They seem to be doing OK now. Although we had a bit of a issue. We had a filter in the tank that we had in our 75gal to seed the 8 and it was still in the main part of the tank. Well the fish were hiding under it and Ash wanted to see the fish since she went to bed after we put them in the tank last night and hadn't got to see them yet. We also have some PVC in there for them to use to hide. Well the filter has carbon in it that was coming out so we figured we would that it out. Ashlee had the top open and was moving the PVC around since the filter wasn't there and I saw the Bi Color wiping around the tank. Right then I said watch out they are jumpers and as I said it the Bi Color jumped up and landed right in the inlet chamber. So I dive for the pump plug and shut it down. So Ash tried to stick her hand in the chamber since my hand wont fit and tried to scoop him out witch I'm sure you know didn't work but then she tried a plastic spoon and got him out and back in the main tank. All is good. I plug the pump back in. Hey where is the Lawn mower? Oh #$%^ is he on the floor? So we look everywhere around the tank, on the floor, and nothing. Then I thought maybe he jumped in the pump chamber. I get the flash light and sure enough he's in there. So once again I yank the plug on the pump. we had to take the whole pump out and scoop him out but this time Ashlee put a towel over the main tank. Ashlee scooped him up but at the last second he flipped and landed on the carpet, so I dive on the floor under the table the tank is on and scooped him up and plopped him back in the tank. We closed the lid and both said we were not opening it again. LOL

I guess we are going to have to cover the 75gal after all.LOL Ya think?

So I don't know if they have bounded from the little trips or what but they stopped chasing each other since. At least for now. I hope we don't have to bring ether of hem back. We like them 2 the most so far. They do have great personality.

I guess you can say that that would be the last resort. We do have this other tank that has Ashlee's other fish in it but it is still in Hipo and she is going to start to raise the SG starting I think tomorrow. So maybe we can put one of them in there. There is no signs of Ick in that thank any more but that is a risk also. They still have like 3 or 4 weeks in there before they can go back to her parents house so I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

Wow that is tough! I don't know if I could do that.
