That setup sounds fine. You could use one with a controller, if you'd like, but it isn't necessary. Either way, that will give you very complete and random circulation.

So the wavebox with no additional pumps is not enough? Is that what you are saying? If I got the wavebox and the two pumps with a controller that would be almost like 2 wavemaking devices...crazy stuff. How big are the nanostreams? I'm very big on keeping things clean and hidden...I have a black background so the wavebox and pumps shouldn't be an issue but still I don't want a lot of space taken up...would it help is you saw a picture of my tank?
Thanks for that picture! I heard/saw they were working on that project a while ago, but nothing too recent. And I never new the size. But at around 9 inches high, it would fit perfectly in my 10 gallon. I wonder how many gph it pushes though... I bet it'll at least make a difference to my already 90X turnover rate.I just saw that it is going to be 380 dollars and will be out December 2008 -- turn your attention to the bottom of the picture.Sounds pretty enticing. Amp, I have a 72 gallon and I want to get the wavebox nano...would that be enough movement or would I need additional pumps such as a couple koralias or would I be better advised to just get the koralia wavemaker? From what I have heard, the wavebox just moves water back and forth whereas the pumps will pick up debris and move aid the mechanical filtration by pushing it into the overflow. The good thing about the wavebox is that it seems like there are zero deadspots and the flow is pretty even throughout the tank. What do you think?

The nanostreams are pretty small for the amount of water they push out. And they are pretty much the same thing as one of the smaller "new" turbells. The only difference is they cut out some of the pieces in the pump that restricted the flow. It was a popular mod over on RC that a friend of mine actually designed. And now they do it and call them the new turbells :silly: haha
They do make other alterations. The nanos don't have a strong enough motor to put out 8,000 gph even with the mod. I will agree, however, the nano mod is one of the best (the best, IMO) flow options out there right now.
Well, the nano waveboxes are now out on the market. Has anyone gotten one or heard of anything? I've read that they just pick up detritus and kick it back and forth. Where would the powerhead(s) go in this case to sweep the bad stuff away, so you don't just have a cloud of junk in the tank at all times? My rocks are all set up in the middle of the tank...not at the back. Suggestions?
