Members of the Underground will appear innocent on night 1.

Well darn, here I thought I was doing my duty before I left yesterday. I should probably go back an read, I thought last night or this morning would be nightfall because of the weird time zone for me, so since I knew I wouldn't get back in time, I thought I'd leave a vote that would count. Silly me. I should probably fix that.

Looks like they choose 2 players for the beatdown 1 of which goes through then choose 2 players for an investigation. So they get to find out the identities of 2 players per night? Or should it also read of which 1 will be answered?

Everytime i try to get away....They keep pulling me back in!!

The reason for the lineup, as stated, would so we could find increase chances. If everyone picks there own then the more popular players will prob get doubles on them. It doesnt have to be the line up, if its dice or whatever.

The reason i picked the list was
A. because it's established by someone not in the game
b. it removes bias to pick popular players, and spreads the votes out.
c. Keeps snitches from saying they investigated this person.

There isnt any other real way to do it random and trust everyone.

i took it as "true" innocents. HN can we get a ruling

The other part of the list would be this. The snitches prob woulda hit the person that woulda revealed them.

To spell it out: The mafia would've(past tense) tried to silence the person below them, as not to be found out. So more then likly night 2 beatdown woulda prob been someone who woulda found them out. That's just more info that coulda been used.

No I read that but in the past that you have always given the impression that you would prefer your day 1 vote not count so that explanation doesn't really ease my concerns.

here are some of my thoughts...

in addition to lashing out at me for no apparent reason early in the game, dirtydawg has also caught my eye for a couple of reasons. he tends to switch his ideas around to where the majority is going. in post 85, he claimed that i was supicious because i was chatty. then, in post 209 he said that newbies are more likely to be innocent than not. he did the same thing later on the issue of investigations, while everyone else was pretty clear on their views and stuck to them. it looks as if he is trying to blend in his thoughts with the majority. i also have considered the aggressiveness that NeonJulie mentioned in her post.

jbradt's defensiveness and attacking of rbishop caught my eye too. it was interesting to see him try to twist around jpap's words to his own defense after rbishop responded. his aggressiveness may have just been a "newbie" characteristic, but it sounds like he may acctually have something to hide. for example, on a few occasions he brought up being accused of being a snitch without anyone even mentioning it. again, this was with rbishop. another very suspicious area that jbradt was running into was trust. it sounded like he wanted to earn our trust, something that you cannot give out in this game.

Yes well - in the past - that's why Lady G came after me so quickly, because it's TOO innocent, doesn't help the Townies out, and if you're too afraid of lynching someone, it must be because your guilty and have something to be afraid of.

This round, I have to lynch someone, or UD, would you rather I UD? Can you even lynch No One?

And isn't this the same as my normal night 1 votes? To place it on a single vote, rather than endanger someone who got mobbed for in the past, stupid reasons - like miscounting numbers.

It's not like I'm on a train here, and I'm not trying to sway votes towards her - it's my personal vote.

Wow, lots of discussion on investigations. Me, I don't think it's a good idea to have everyone abovr them investigated or whatever that was... that leads PRs directly to the snitches... all they need to do is see who hasn't listed anyone or see who listed so and so was innocent (but is really a snitch)... basically, just look for who is not on their team and giving the wrong answers. Not a good idea. A list of 3.. not sure I am crazy about that either... I think just letting the snitches know who you are ontois going to end up messy. They will have the whole day to mess with things and coerce them into their favor. Not a good idea. We can't even trust who we are going to select if we went the "have 2 people investigate" theory... we can't be sure who we can trust and listing anyone will still highlight PRs.. or at least bring them closer to the surface. I think we should just do our own investigations, whenever we feel best and go from there.

I say its a dumb idea to waste all of the innocent investigations on the first night.
I believe that 2 people picked at random by someone should use thier votes.
This way we get a look at one person.
Now that person will be cleared or killed and can be trusted or dead.
Then that person is cleared they can use thier investigation the next night and we as a group can trust what they say as right.

I will volenteer my vote for the investigation tonight. If anyone does not trust me then be my guest and pick someone else.

I feel this is the best way to hunt out the snitches because we dont waste the whole towns investigations and it allows us to be methodical about this. I want to trust what happens. I really dont believe we could pick 2 snitches.

Doom, why are you so ready to give your investigation away tonight... it won't work tonight! It will but it will be wasted.

Not really fishy. You are not allowed to post In the general Ac forums under the Alt id name. So you have to log in and out of the alt ids and sometimes people forget. Ask Lady G she will tell you. I dont know any game she has had one and stayed hidin for more than the first night.

OMG... but G always does it when least suspected. I think that's why we all love that girl LOL

Ice I agree we can't say who we are going to invest and therefore can't rule out double ups but I see BKW as trying to bring us together. I think we all need to agree when we will use our invests but give no tell of who we will use it on. In fact it would be best if we all choose at random who we invest, negating our own inclinations of who we think are snitches. Randomness is certain to get a good coverage and as I said double ups will only help solidify our claims. The second condition is that if you don't get a snitch you say nothing of the results of your invest.

I think any telling of how or who we use our investigations is going to be more beneficial to the snitches than it will be to us.

As far as who I am voting for... still not sure and I hate when it comes to this. I will be posting my vote shortly, just want to read back on a couple of things.
