Is this tank open top?

dont call it open.. say the ... are out... (NAS) :lipssealedsmilie:

Yup for now the tank is open top. Really messes with water evaporation, especially once the water evaporates 1.5" down then the outflow of the fluval makes plenty of movement at the top and increases the evaporation.

nope, if plants are healthy (which in my case they were with the blasting co2/ferts and light) then they will come out just fine from the blackout. Plus when ppl ship plants across the states and that takes 2-4 days plants arrive healthy.

I was talking about the pumpkin under the stand. ;)

how did you get that co2 system??? how are the plants? is the tank uncovered? update buddy!

yup got it a while back all setup and running great. Plants are loving it, stem plants are growing daily and anubias are giving off new leaves weekly.
Tank was uncovered last friday
update on friday's right??

i dont think its ready for an update. It just looks bleehhh like a grow out tank lol

Though I did get a new plant. Blyxa Aubertii!! will try and get some photos of it once it settles in.

looks like its time for a small update..

First ill do the full tank shots to show where it was and where it is now..

And today

Tried taking photos differently this time to see if i can capture the plants/fish true colors.. dont seem to be there yet..

As you can see the whole left side had been leveled off.. happened right after a trim.. i noticed that the lower parts of the plants had mulm in it and just looked nasty so i took all the plants out from the left side up to the center, washed them all/trimmed and replanted. During the trim i realized how many hygro stems i have... (100 for sure lol) Put up 25 for sale for now, who knows might get rid of all soon.

Here are some random shots

Golden Angel with female Bolivian Ram and SAE.. (behind them you can see my new blyxa aubertii)
