150 Gallon Build Thread ... From the Start

"The fun is getting there (that's what she said)! "
Thank you for dropping at least one in this thread. It just had to be done.

Progress: The heaters and black hose came today. The hose seems a little stiff (that's what she said - as long as we are dropping them). Hopefully it will work okay - looks kind of like it is for a pond. 25' of 1/2" and 25' of 5/8" for the inputs / outputs on the Eheims.

Stand Build Progress:

Cutting a template for the front and back frame - pretty important that they are exactly square and exactly the same size.

Router cutting the groves for the framing (half-lap joints):

I will be building a similar frame for the top ... more pics to come soon!

I will also be keeping a build budget expense sheet for those of you who are interested in building your own stand / canopy.

Now tell us the truth is that your progress or your neighbors:) LOL

Looks like someone know what they are doing.

Really, I now belive in this stand/canopy project:)

Looking great!!!

Thanks man - it's all my progress (lol)!! Actually, my neighbor went sideways on me and I had to run out to my brother in laws to cut the stock to length. I also cut the dado joints in the shorter pieces on his table saw. Everything else has been in my garage.

I've ordered that exact black tubing from DFS previously. Its a little tough to work, with but you'll appreciate the rigidness when you wrap those corners. I love seeing DFS boxes LOL
