Mafia #43 Bio Badlands #2

I think I am going to have to agree with the two of you and I Vote to genetically test Ctenopoma.
Z is still on my radar but this seems (screams!) mafia.....my vote may change as a lot can transpire between now and tomorrow night but he, by far is the most prominent suspect at the moment.

Maybe you can explain the whole gaunlet thing.

Until then, care to share with the rest of the town your thoughts? I asked some pretty simple questions:

Does anything stick out to you? The limbs on the trees.

Do you find anyone suspicious at all? I find everyone but myself suspect in some way, shape, or form.

Will you vote for no one at nightfall again? Post#355: "And you betcha sweet patootie, I shall vote for someone tonight."

Why shouldn't I or others vote for you? Because you need me.

You answered one out of four. Are you running for mayor? Tell us your suspects. Why have the town wait until just before nightfall. Why rush headlong into things? Why not? I don't like to be predictable.

And the reference to gauntlet--my, my, folks today have no literate education. It refers to "throwing down the gauntlet [glove] as a challenge--gosh, have you seen A Knight's Tale?

Zsand, MCD, CT, Jpap . . . . JL?

Wow JL! Remind me to never be interrogated by you! But, way to go! I am beginning to see why you doubt certain people (CT in particular); the backpedalling and the vagueness of his posts really make me think. I really did not see it until you brought all this about.

noodles, don't get too excited. You are looking more and more scumish to me. There has been some very valid points made about you. DD has stated that you were much more talkative in your first game and now she is dead. Seems like she was watching you.

I am not sure if jumping on the Ct train is the right thing to do and would highly suggest not doing it. For the most part I am not that good at "kicking squirels", but am giving it a try.

Rosita, I can see by your join date that you are not a newb however I do not know if you have played mafia before (I am quite new to the games) In order to help the town it is best to tell who and why you find suspicious so the other townies can see what you see, so to speak and try to come together and get rid of the scum......

Here's the thing, Jpap... I have no problem with anyone casting a seemingly random vote early enough on Day 1. Sometimes random votes can apply a little pressure, and therefore stimulate real discussion early in the game. Most of those folks voting 'randomly' end up changing their votes (or at least eventually giving more real reasons) before nightfall.

There is a problem, though, when someone casts a random vote and admits that they're willing to ride it all the way to nightfall. It's a scumbag move that says that the person is willing to have anyone killed off, as long as it's not them. You obviously knew that this was a bad move, as you referred to having to fight about it later, so why are you acting so surprised now?

I said that I wouldn't be around at nightfall. Had I known that I could vote no-one, or that UD's would be saved last night I would have rather not placed a random vote. I figured HN wouldn't be looked at as a major vote getter and the comment about fighting about it later was in reference to him looking for someone to fight with now that Ice isn't playing...a little sarcasm that must have been lost online. I'm not suprised, just trying to answer you questions/comments and throw in some of my own.

Skim + Confused + Awww Shucks + LOL + Obvious + Meh = Mafia

I vote to genetically test Noodles

Shady vote way to word a vote but I do agree that noodle's post is far too generic that it seems fake and pre-planned.

This was meant to point out (in a not so clear way after I reread it) that Noodles, Z and JPap don't seem to have a problem losing a townie named 3L. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Obviously losing a townie night one sucks in a numbers game like this, but after catching up last night I felt that 3L taking one for the team by way of lynch is a good thing in the long run. His posts were nothing but a distraction and he failed to produce anything of substance. Just my opinion.

I am concerned that I was not hit, because it has seemed in the past few games I played in, when I was innocent, I was hit early. I would think the evils would want me gone, but maybe they want me around.

Or maybe you're evil as well? I find that players who come back after nightfall and question why they weren't hit are trying to say in a less obvious way, "I'm an innocent"...very suspicious.

For now... I vote to genetically test bkw.

I want to hear more from him and Rosita both. Other than them my suspicions are mostly on Noodles, G, and to a lesser extent JM and Z.

JM- You say that I've been "too nice" this game, but after I thought about it I realized that you have been quite nice so far as well. You're not your normal, analytical, argumentative self at all IMO.

When Jmax first started posting I found quite the opposite. Usually she chit-chats more than anything night 1 and right away she went after 3L...unusual IMO but I don't take gameplay as holding that much merit.

Ah, jl, so glad I finished reading the days' postings only to end with your gauntlet thrown.
Absence has been due to important reasons, no more shall be spoken.
It seems that people are not only in fear of being voted out this second day, after the casualties of the first, but are posting a lot of deflections. It's "he said, she said, I said, and this is what we all meant." Interpretations of language versus true meanings---so clever we think we are.
I am seeing some obvious, sinister players who cloak themselves in sweetness or pseudo-knowledge.
I am keeping my eyes and mind/senses on a few--which IS the same as several. And just because someone is a low poster on their first game (I no longer consider myself a newbie here after almost 2 years) doesn't mean things will heat up. You are forewarned, yet not forearmed.
Mhuaahahahaha . . . . gack ack ack.

What happened on day one is something. Things arent always what they seem, just becuase someone is playing evil doesnt mean they are and usually the people that are acting abnormally "nice" may become suspicious.

-CT

Maybe it's just me but it seems like newer players try to seem more mysterious but end up frustrating vets because they never get to the point. I say quit stating the obvious and dig through some posts...day 1 pass is over.

Why are these people on your list? Are you picking names out of a hat or do you have some concrete evidence as to why these people stand out to you???

I know that DD stated how talkative I was in my "first" game - this is my fourth. Perhaps I have found my playing style? I do know that in my first game people were really going after low posters hot and heavy (as they often do) and being a newb I did not want to wind up dead! I know that you may not be right about CT but you make some very valid points that really stand out to me....and face it with so many players not really "playing" there is not a whole lot else to go on at this point............

I know what "throwing down the gaunlet" means. I just do not see how I was challenging you. I was (and am) asking simple questions, that every player should be able to do. You questioning my "literate education" is weak at best. Personal attacks are always a sign of weakness in any type of disagreement. I will not take your weakness personally, nor will I hold it against you in the future.

You took my questions as a "challenge", but it was no such thing. I have even stated that I thought you most likely were innocent. So your "gauntlet" statement needs explaining. Why do you think I am challenging you? What makes you so defensive? What are you hiding? Why shouldn't you help the town and share your thoughts?

Your defensiveness and your lack of cooperation, make you highly suspect. I also really really dislike the answers in the quote and the color you put them in.

Been reading again and this kinda stuck out; So you are voting against a player but then admit you really have no idea why?!

^^ want to add - You are just guessing, no real suspicions?!
