mums are for the flowerbed

Oh, and I have always wondered about this...

I've been told that:
As an American,
- What we call "Jello" or "Gelatin" the British call "Jelly"
- What we call "Jelly" the British call "Jam"
- So what on earth do the British call "Jam"????

simple jam is jam
jelly is jelly

I always thought the term for "speaking a bunch of rubbish" meant someone was lying? I guess "talking trash" is the same thing then? hmmmmm:confused:

I've always thought there was a distinction between "trash" and "rubbish"....trash implies more paper products, synthetic waste, plastics, etc....and rubbish implies mostly food items. And "can" vs. "bin" well...the depends on the container you are using! :p

simple jam is jam
jelly is jelly

I actually seriously wanted an answer to that....

What do the British call a dessert made with Gelatin?

What do they call a fruit spread that is made with fruit juice?

What do they call a fruit spread that is made with the whole fruit?

biscuits .....not cookies
