I've always thought there was a distinction between "trash" and "rubbish"....trash implies more paper products, synthetic waste, plastics, etc....and rubbish implies mostly food items. And "can" vs. "bin" well...the depends on the container you are using!
we dont call rubbish 'trash' here in England mmmm i thought this thread was to point out these weird differences lol
to show how we speak the same language but dont use the same word for the same thing or some of the werid customs too like do you have these funny men

According to the dictionary:
