Greg-The house hunting is still in the planning stage. We've decided since we only have five years of payments left on our current house, to go ahead and put it on the market and use the profit to have a substantial down payment on our "dream home". There are so many hidden cost when it comes to log home building. From speaking with people that have built we decided to research, research, research.:evil_lol::thm:
 
yeah also keep in mind those new houses made out of chip/particle board burn 85% faster
