what size is the input size? can it attach to a paintball gun macro line?

It's a 1/8" connection, so it can accept 1/8" O.D. tubing or the hose barbs can allow it to be used with 1/8" or 3/16" I.D. tubing

Well, it's a needle valve, not a regulator, but it's rated to work up to like 1500 psi I think

oh, I see, no, this cannot take the place of a regulator for a paint ball tank.

i have a air source adapter that would let it flow through the macroline with no leaks and the Co2 tank would be sitting around 850 psi which is under 1500psi and i have a way so that the co2 wouldnt dump into the needle valve but why couldnt i connect the air source adapter into the needle valve without a regulator?

Needle valves control flow, dependent on upstream pressure. Your downstream flow is directly dependent on your upstream pressure, so if you hit the needle valve with 850 psig, you'll never get a low enough flow rate to be useful in an aquarium.

so what is the optimal operating pressure for the needle valve? if i could get it to 60 psi would the needle valve still work?
