Is there some way I can adapt my bathroom sink faucet to fit a python? The faucets have a smooth head without threads to screw on the python. I would love to ditch the buckets for my 3 upstairs tanks!
If you look the end will unscrew then take that part to your ACE hardware show them that part and the end of your python they should be able to fix you up with an adapter
there is a mesh screen on most bathroom fixtures (inside of the end) my faucets all unscrew there to give access to a internaly threaded portion, see if u have one of those
'nother thought...do you have a handheld shower? you can get a 1/2" MIP to garden hose (or whatever you need) thread at most good hardware stores. Just remove the shower 'wand' and atatch the hose. That's what I did
Yeap, both of the best options as I know em have been posted. If your sink has a removable aerater, then take that in and say you want to run tubing off of it. If not get the same thing for your shower. I picked up a 1/2" adapter for a couple bucks. Little bit trickier to adjust the temp from the shower than from the faucet, but it's better than buckets.
No mesh screen in the faucet. I think the end might screw off but it is hard to tell because it is so built up with lime deposit. I'll have my husband try to remove it for me. I don't have a hand held shower head.
