anyone know how i can find out exactly what sort of aquatic plants are native to my area?

bumpity bump-bump >.>

go to your local lakes?
omfg, wouldn't my mom just love me if i showed up on her doorstep with an armful of wet, muddy plants, asking her if she felt like reviewing for her plant id courses some more?

.......and SM, you're amazing. <3 now, to figure out which of these are actually aquatic.... >.>

edit: dangit, none are. but, you've given me a good start, and entertained the geeky side of me :D

i cant help myself now that i have a planted tank. i'm always looking for cool freebies in local rivers and lakes

oh, i don't doubt it, especially in this economy lmao
i wonder what my mom would say if i asked her to come over to my house, climb the fence around the reservoir, and crawl through the mud to find out what scooter's relatives are eating out there. ^_^

If you go out collecting This Site may help you identify them.

It is run by a Florida agency but the plants are pretty universal.
