This is such a pretty plant, has anyone try it in their tank yet? how is the root system look? Sounds like it require high light.

the bottom is just stems and roots, not to pretty unless you have a wild look or can hide the stems with other plants and put it in the back of the tank. the top is the pretty part its a pond plant really. looks great in ponds to

I thought so too, although it's sold in one of the online aquarium plant store, so i thought i just ask :D

ahh... thats why its called a floating plant! Any floating can't be seen unless you are looking down on it.... frogbit, duckweed, red rooter whatever! If you have an open top aquarium, you can appreciate them more.
 
One of these days I want to try it out. I have open tops and plenty of surface area for it.
 
i look into this plant last year but it seemed to get way too huge for indoors

well, i personally like the look of frogbit's roots.....weird taste i guess :D
