cleaning driftwood.

ive got a crapload of driftwood that i would like to clean. what do i do with it? some of it is really big and there are some small peices. what do you recomend i do?

also. i have a filter that used to be on a saltwater setup and i would like to clean it to use for FW. what do i do to it?

I've always boiled and scrubbed driftwood.

for small peices should i dip it and let it sit? and instead of scrubbing can i use a high pressure washer?
and for big peices do i pour the water over it or what?

Boil the Driftwood for a few hours
The filter you can rinse out real good and change ALL media and you'll be good to go

you can scrub the small pieces in the sink and then boil them. if the pieces are too big you may need to take them outside.

You might not need to boil them. If you collected them yourself I would for sure. Otherwise a high pressure wash with scrubbing might be enough.

Then I would boil them somehow. You never know what may be on the wood.
