So I'm going to get a puffer fish...

Yeah, don't even bother with the Bio-spira, it's a waste of money for you right now.

The other one, that someone suggested for FW/Low Salt would be a better choice.

Bio spira is not just for SW! I have contacted Instant Ocean and a few other sources who HAVE used it in brackish tanks!

Plus, the bio spira would just be to keep up with the bioload of the puffers because he did a fish in cycle so the bacteria can only really handle the bbgs biolad atm

Yeah, I'm talking about any of that frozen bacteria shtuff in that packet.
I get that and from there I'm ready to fly...
So do I get the freshwater stuff and acclimate from there or get the brackish shtuff and acclimate before?

Do I have to change the water even when I have the biospira/whatever you call it?

Yes, you have to change the water if there is ammonia in the tank. There will be ammonia while the mini-cycle happens.

you aid the puffer was in fresh, so you put it into your fresh tank and slwoly acclimatize the puffer and bacteria by .002 ish per week. remember>?

YOU SHOULD NOT BE PUTTING A PUFFER INTO A TANK THAT IS NOT COMPLETELY OR CORRECTLY CYCLED!

TWO BUMBLEBEE GOBIES AND SOME PLANTS THAT DIED AND THEN CAME BACK TO LIFE DO NOT CYCLE A TANK INTENDED FOR A PUFFER!

YOU HAVE STATED THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO THE DAILY WATER CHANGES THAT WILL MOST LIKELY BE NEEDED TO FINISH CYCLING YOUR TANK AFTER YOU ADD THE PUFFER. SO.... OMFG THERE WILL BE A HUGE SPIKE OF NITRITES AND AMMONIA YOUR FISH R MOST LIKELY GUNNA DAI!!!111 DEPENDING ON BIO-SPIRA TO "KEEP UP" WITH A PUFFERS BIOLOAD IS FOOLISH.

BRING THE GOBIES BACK AND START OVER.

IF YOU REALLY WANT A PUFFER YOU SHOULD BE PATIENT ENOUGH TO CYCLE YOUR TANK THE RIGHT WAY.
