Pkumar: just saw your thread and your system is beautiful. I wouldn't add a canopy - just my opinion. The aquascape is terrific. I can't tell you how much I like your fish selection - they are beautiful tangs. Hope you are putting in the grounding probe like ACE suggested. Can't wait to see the progress as your tank matures.

Have to say it is surprising that your maroon clowns didn't fight a bit in the beginning at least. Your plumbing job is so precise, you have to have done this before - or just planned really well.

Best of luck with your new - incredible system.

and..... Welcome to AC!

Very nice tank... and tangs! Looks great how the anemone and clowns are front and center for you. You should definately submit some pics for the TOTM contest on here.. your tank looks that good!

Thanks Almondsaz, I have to give the credit to the LFS owner (we have become pretty good friends through this project,) for helping with planning the plumbing and putting it together (that was a very long day). The clowns did fight in the beginning, and the more brightly colored of the two, spent most of its time in one back corner of the tank. I had put in the BTA about a week later, and the bully took up residence right away and sort of left the other one alone. Anyway, interesting to see how these dynamics evolve.

thanks ACE! i'm having a lot of fun feeding these guys. The wrasse really can hold his own against the other fish, just took a couple of days, and the purple tangs leaves him alone now.

gorgeous tank my friend cant wait untill i switch mine over to sw hope it even looks half as nice as yours

Thanks, it's been a lot of fun. I've been lucky so far, knock on wood, without too many disasters. The in-sump pump to my skimmer blew the hose off several weeks ago, woke up to about 10-15 gallons of water in stand and around the carpet. Needless to say, It could have been much worse. Anyway, thanks again.

Would a hose clamp be safe to put on the pump? It would prevent any other mishaps like this but some metals will release chemicals, etc. to the water.

Metal hose clamps rust in water. They make/sell plastic hose clamps just for that purpose.
