I'd actually like to say I'm impressed- considering this is something you're doing on your own time, and how complex of a concept it is, it's impressive that it's as accurate as it is. Keep up the good work!

P.S. Also, I would love it if you'd add farlowella catfish. :D

P.P.S. Also dwarf puffers!

Thanks. :)

I will definitely add those two in the next release!

Could you give me some additional info please? What species, how many of each and what size is your tank?

Thanks.

72G Bowfront (up from 29G).

1 Large Angel, though haven't been able to nail down exactly what species it is.
6 Black Phantom Tetra (all small/med....3 were just introduced)
2 Serpae Tetra (likely close to full grown)
1 Blue Tetra (think I added in a third Serpae for comparison sake with blue tetra not being in database)
3 Congo Tetra (new adds....fairly small)
2 Boesmani Rainbows (new adds...fairly small)
1 Turquoise Rainbow (don't think it was in database, think I added another boesmani)....its a bit bigger than others I've seen
3 Silver Dollars......very small, though they get bigger than I was expecting, might be an unfortunate grow out and re-sell based on that factor alone
1 Dwarf Blue Gourami....very small
2 Siamese Algae Eaters.....5-5 1/2", so I'm guessing full grown
2 Chinese Algae Eaters....(not in database, think I used SAE) fairly small, came with tank.....likely being sold to a store as I don't need 5 algae eaters in the tank, IMO
1 Rubbernose Pleco....still very much on the smallish side, even though we've had him well over a year

***I know my tank is still on the immature side of things, but from research prior to purchases, wouldn't have felt overstocked. I went on your site assuming the 'end result' of all fish growing to normal size, not necessarily where my tank is NOW....but don't like the idea of getting fish that I can't keep for their lifetime. The CAE's and quite possibly the Silver Dollars will be returned at some point though, and removing those brought the tank to about 100%.

Betta in my DB was recorded as 2 inches when fully mature. Perhaps this was too low? For now, I've adjusted it up to 2.5 inches as some sites on the web says they can grow up to 3 inches.

I was more concerned about the compatiblity factor.

I think this is super helpful and I have it bookmarked :) It might not take things like filtration and plants into consideration as much but it's a good base to see where I'm at. Great job!

FYI, the output for a rubbernose pleco is off, slightly. It comes up as (0 x Rubber Pleco (Chaetosoma sp. L187a 1 x b)) instead of 1 x Rubber Pleco.....and when you try to remove said pleco from the 'community', the 1 x b)) portion remains, the number of fish in stock remains the same, and the percentage doesn't adjust. The only way I've been able to work around it is by clearing all fish and starting over.

BTW, I love the concept...I don't think I specified that before...and don't necessarily blame your formulas for my tank coming in 'overstocked'.

It looks very complex and well designed, but it told me that my alto. calvus won't fit in my 29 (even one), when that is about right for my pair and 6 neo. brevis.

Also, you might want to add standard tank size shortcuts, for those of us who are too lazy to measure our tanks.

Otherwise, it looks/works very good.
