Windows 7

I did the back up took me 3 hours, and windows 7 took 2-1/2 hours running sweet and sound i love the new windows 7! u have to follow the windows advisor and download the windows compatibility tool and was not hard. I did not have to load any old stuff everything was still on after the upgrade except for windows live and windows mail. During the whole process the computer shut down and restarted about a dozen times it normal and is mentioned in the instructions.

It took 2.5 hours to install? That's ridiculous. I installed Windows 7 Pro on my computer in 25 minutes. That's from the time I put the disc in and hit the power button to the time I was staring at a desktop.

:D

You must have a new computer with nothing on it? Did you do a back up? did you down load the windows advisory tool? My Computer is almost 2-1/2 months old with Windows Vista Sp1 installed and why it took that long, I thought is was the standard recommended time given.

Anybody know of a good place to get drivers if you are doing a clean install? My system is about 9 mos. old and HP's driver page is terrible. How good is 7 at actually downloading the appropriate drivers by itself?

Do a Google search,I read earlier today you can install the upgrade on clean drive. There's instructions out there. once installed properly Windows 7 does great job of locating drivers.
