hahahahahah, The creek pictures were just showing where I found my rocks LOL!!

...Now I got it! Lol, getting lost or distracted is a contagious syndrome in this forum. I wonder what kind of dog started this syndrome!!! :lipssealedsmilie:

I did sorry about that my friend my fault i am on injury leave right now, i pulled a muscle in the nether region and man i am a bear of a grouch right now but i will have to go back to work tomorrow and i am still hurting sucks being out of sick time aye, no chasing anything for a few more days..

Yep no hard feelings man..

Efors did ya get it buddy.. I think i can muster up a chase for Ole Granpa Efors;)

I like the rocks in the tank, huge improvement. gravel and the fake plants are not my taste at all, but if you like it, more power to you.

I had the same gravel in my tank a ways back. I switched over to pool filter sand from home depot and have not looked back since. best thing I did for my tank. I even did it with the fish still in there. newb/risky but it worked. I took out all decor and used a scoop to take out half of the gravel. It clouded the water a little, but not as much as I thought it would. waited till the next day, and then I did the other half, and added my prerinsed sane slowly one cup at a time...
here is my before when I first setup my tank:

which looks better? sand or gravel? especially in a mbuna tank, you are replicating their environment. its fun to watch them move the sand around as well. food for though. I constantly change my setup to make it better.

where did you get your peacocks from?! that mbuna tank above looks pretty nice...great upgrade. I just updated my 72 gallon community tank, sold all the fish and did a substrate swap for some crushed coral and puka shells. Thank God I read about eggcrate right before I started putting the venetian stepping stones in but after I already had 70lbs. of substrate down. Had to move everything to the side, lay down the eggcrate and build the rock wall on top then move the substrate back and repeat. Eggcrate is the way to go with cichlids!

We have a great LFS That always has amazing Peacocks but Its located in Kelowna British Columbia Canada. They are fairly expensive at $20-25 Canadian each but sell three for $50 and They will order in anything I ask for at no charge.

I have all male 55 gallon Peacocks/Hap growout tank, My favorite Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi (Eureka Read peacocks) followed by Aulonocara Sp. (Strawberry Peacocks), Aulonocara Baenschi (Sunshine Peacocks), Aulonocara-Mbuna Hybrid (OG Peacocks), Sciaenochromis ahli (Electric Blue Hap), Labidochromis caeruleus (Electric Yellow Lab). I will be moving these into a 265 Gallon sometime in the new year.

Justinf67 your new aquascape looks Great!!!! Im going to setup the 265 using sand and keep it fairly minimal. I really want to do real plants again but my cichlids enjoy destroying my hard work so I didnt have much choice in the matter, I recently removed alot of the fake plants but kept some for hiding spots.
