See, when I was going back and forth with maybe JL is cop, maybe Annie is cop, :nilly: it bugged me that JL was so insistent Annie was scum but flat out refused to vote for him. Makes absolutely no sense unless the scenario I described is what is going on. If JL is scum and Annie is really the cop then JL would be pushing very hard to lynch him. That would even things out for the mafia. But that is not happening. Instead, FF is a poor pawn in the game JL is playing. I felt manipulated by JL, especially his post right after my vote for FF.
Now Annie is acting like one would expect from the cop, but the incongruities from JL make me think they're on the same team. And what I mentioned before, where Annie gets JL lynched and then Annie looks awesome to the town when JL shows mafia further feeds into their evil plan. The mayors investigation on Annie would do nothing, except waste an investigation and a day. The mayor can't even come out and say Annie is scum.
Please re-read their interactions and tell me if you think it sounds scripted. Yes, it is a huge gamble, but what do they have to lose? They have no hits. They have no power except for the power to confuse the town. Neither JL nor Annie strike me as a conservative player, I can see them pulling a ballsy stunt like this. Desperate times call for desperate measures in scumland...
