Mafia #64 ? Cabin Fever - The Play

can we have a whos getting voted for post?

What's worrying me most right now is it seems awful early in the game, awful early in the day even, for a two horse race. Makes me wonder if FF is innocent as well and the scum are sitting in their scum den lolling. I mean, a 2 horse race with 2 innocents on the block, what could be better if you're scum? Makes for a good night 1 for them.

I've gone back and looked, and I can't see why y'all think I'm scummy. Yes, I made the case against myself, but that was simply because I figured it was only a short amount of time before someone made the same case. What I said was pretty obvious so I wanted to get it into the open so you all wouldn't waste time focusing so much on me when I'm innocent. Obviously that backfired. For some reason when I'm innocent I'm quite good at digging a hole for myself then having to fight my way out of it. I think I need to play like the lurkers do.

Like I said, I don't like this 2 horse race this early in the game, with really nothing to go on. I will vote for FF if it means saving my own butt but I think he may actually be innocent. I am now more suspicious of Texasguy for his drive by voting and lame-o excuse. He's got a whole day more to decide, yet he felt the need to vote tonight with the reason that he doesn't want to be voted for. He's not even been mentioned.

Of course, but don't base your vote on who would suspect you, unless you're scum...

I really don't like the early train on LR. I don't see how someone deciding to "defend" themselves is scummy.

I think Kash and her buffer vote, Wiz, have some explaining to do.

Can you explain in a little more detail why you think LR is scum? There is basically nothing in your indictment post.

I don't get your confusion about this, Zaffy. Normally when someone gets defensive it's because they're in the hot seat and they get all stressy about it because they're feeling a lot of pressure from others in the form of accusations/suspicions noted by several players or a number votes cast against them. That isn't always a good way to react of course (because it's viewed as scummy behavior), but it happens all the same.

In Lab Rat's case, she got all defensive on her own accord and for no reason. Back at that time there had just been a few posts made where others were talking about general speculation. Nothing of that had been directed at Lab Rat at all. So yes, getting defensive like she did about something generic that equally applies to everyone else in the game too.. it's just odd behavior. And that's why I think Lab Rat has something to hide.

Since Lab's text is colored already, I just made some lines larger. To those statements.... Good grief, Lab Rat. Here you claim innocent, innocent, and innocent again. Then you want to drag in IRL friends to defend you too? Lordy!! And then you want to produce photographic evidence? This post is about the most ridiculous thing I've seen you do in any game.

You got defensive when nobody was pointing at you... now you're being even MORE defensive because some of us have pointed out that you're being defensive. You know, when you find yourself waist-deep in a hole that you've dug for yourself.. that's usually a good time for you to stop digging.

Lab Rat.. I see in this post you were thinking of voting for Razz. But why? Prior to this, I don't believe Razz even posted anything yet. So that means you're willing to vote Razz purely on speculation alone? How is that better than those already voting you, not only over speculation, but also for defensive posts, flimsy excuses, professing innocence, etc... ???

I forgot to add the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] tag to the statement where I could produce evidence...

Yes, it is very true that I'm awesome at digging my own grave. Like I said, I think I need to be more of a lurker.

My speculation on Razz was due to his posts in the sign up thread. Maybe you skimmed where I explained that. Jpap said those who wanted to be scum could email or PM him when they were in invisible mode. Razz jumps in immediately, asking how one goes into invisible mode. If that doesn't say he was wanting to PM jpap to be scum then idk what does.

Kash, did you miss this post:

Running to your scum den?

For now, texasguy has had the scummiest behavior of all. Even factoring in the noob card.

I vote to banish texasguy.

Several games ago I was the priest power role, I was in the hot seat from day 1 for a late vote switch that saved my own life... you may remember it :P

I defended myself furiously for most of the game and we won it. That's why I don't see the act of defending yourself to be scummy in itself, you have to look at what is said to make that determination.

I don't care why, I care how. There are a thousand reasons why someone might make any given post. We can speculate for days about why she decided to post. We can work with how that post was made. In my opinion Lab_rat's How is not particularly scummy to me.

Okay, last post from me for a while. Going to dinner then I doubt I'll be on much tonight.

How can you say someone is guilty for defending themselves? The only way people prove their innocence is by defending themselves otherwise people could just make accusations kinda like what you're doing Kashta in order to kill off people they want and aid the madman. By accusing someone of being guilty and then saying if they defend their innocence they're guilty aren't you trying to control the game exactly how you want it to be instead of trying to find out who is really guilty? Seems to me only someone who is evil would try this tactic in order to steer suspicions away from themselves and knock off the greatest threats against the madman and his accomplices.

You've got that backwards, Dagamoth. I voted Lab Rat because she was defending herself for no reason.... yet. It was premature and her being overly worried about the role she's in.

I wouldn't have voted her if she was defending herself against an accusation made by someone (unless she was doing it poorly)... but at that time no one was accusing her of anything yet. That makes a big difference. It says a lot about her frame of mind... having a guilty conscience. That's why it's suspicious.

You went on to say I did this to steer suspicions away from myself? I don't understand your reasoning there, Dagamoth. There were no suspicions made against me when I voted for Lab Rat. If you saw something somewhere prior to my voting Lab Rat that you felt was casting suspicion on me.. please pull the post(s) to show us.
