First off, Lab Rat, I'm not banishing anyone... lol. For that to happen it needs a majority of townsfolk voting in agreement with each other. What I did was notice something scummy and I placed my vote accordingly. That's what this game is about. It was also just a single vote on you and it was made early enough on the first day that my vote would most likely have changed to somebody else between then and nightfall. Now, based on your (over)reaction, it just might stay on you from here on.
Not only did you get yourself caught up in fairly generic speculation over who might volunteer for an evil role... you got defensive about it right off the bat -- before anyone else had a chance to even accuse you or imply you might be suspect. Then, you listed all these creative "reasons" why you couldn't possibly be evil... but those statements don't wash. I believe you got real worried over tripping yourself up as you've done and you overreacted to the attention you drew upon yourself. All of these factors indicate scummy behavior.
The truth is it would have been very simple for you to phone in a single PM to Pappy while hanging around with your pals all day/evening long at a parade. Given the enthusiasm you give this game, I find that believable. It's not a complicated task, you've confirmed already that you have friends with cell phones who get excellent signal strength in NO (even if your phone signal crapped out), and you don't even have to be sober to send that message asking to be made an accomplice. That takes, what... maybe five minutes? It's clearly not as "impossible" as you try making this sound.
Your reaction to the votes you got also make you seem very suspicious, IMO, which only reinforces the scummy perception I have in your case.... the way you profess your innocence repeatedly (not a convincing thing to do)... the way you continue going on about this.... coming up with more reasons and justification... and so on.
Here in your next post, Lab, you're doing the same thing. In response to my (single) vote, you claim I'm "banishing an innocent." Wizard voted you too around the same time as me and you claim he's following to "vote out an innocent." It was a scummy thing to say once and you've done it twice there, back to back. (Mafia types do this quite often... innocent players, not so much.)
Here is your response to Wizard, but (again), you're being real defensive about this. I don't believe anyone suggested you set out to go to Mardi Gras for the sole purpose of setting up an alibi from where you could (still) easily check your messages and PM a quick reply ........ then come back to the mafia game later to pretend it wasn't possible. Realistically, for you to have done that anyway after getting your PM wouldn't need pre-planning or any forethought. It also wouldn't interfere with your fun or even be difficult for you to accomplish in between your standing around in a crowd, getting something to eat or drink while you were there, finding somewhere you could use a restroom, or whatever else happened with you and your friends in attendance.
Since Lab's text is colored already, I just made some lines larger. To those statements.... Good grief, Lab Rat. Here you claim innocent, innocent, and innocent again. Then you want to drag in IRL friends to defend you too? Lordy!! And then you want to produce photographic evidence? This post is about the most ridiculous thing I've seen you do in any game.
You got defensive when nobody was pointing at you... now you're being even MORE defensive because some of us have pointed out that you're being defensive. You know, when you find yourself waist-deep in a hole that you've dug for yourself.. that's usually a good time for you to stop digging.
Lab Rat.. I see in this post you were thinking of voting for Razz. But why? Prior to this, I don't believe Razz even posted anything yet. So that means you're willing to vote Razz purely on speculation alone? How is that better than those already voting you, not only over speculation, but also for defensive posts, flimsy excuses, professing innocence, etc... ???
