Yep they are an amazing deep blue but really shy, hard to get a lens near them without them retracting really FAST!...latin name is GALEOLARIA HYSTRIX...come in both red and blue colors.
Hi buddy....I've counted at least 18 different color forms so far...probably more if I was really specific with the different colored tubercule/column/tentacle combinations...there are so many!
It's quite puzzling why there are so many variations since they are all living on a reef area that's reasonably small...( 500 square meters approx).I have come across some tiny colonies that are entirely different to all the larger colonies around them...
