Mafia 72-Vampires game thread

I have a different understanding here noods. Since they're simultaneous in the order, I think the slayer's stake would still go through even if they were bitten. It only makes sense that way since it's a 50/50 if they target one another.

Think of it this way... if the slayer would lose the stake, then they would die; and it wouldn't come to a 50/50 shot. Maybe Labby could clarify?

The way I read the rules is if the slayer is the target of the vampires and the slayer is trying to slay someone it comes down to a coin flip to determine who goes through first. If the vamps win the coin toss slayer dies before staking, if the slayer wins flip he gets to slay his target then gets hit by the vamps (unless of course his target was the last vamp)

That's the way I read it JB. Otherwise the slayers move would be listed the next line down.

just reread the rules very slowly (LOL) and I agree....

I don't see this directly adressed in the rules post. Can you quote the section?

I can definitely see the case against FF. The thing that makes me lean him innocent (at least moreso than the other contestants) is his demeanor. If he were a vamp in this game; the kid would have found a way to get on line. You were there with us in the RR game, Noods. I don't believe for a second that he'd be missing this.

Could you believe for a second that Ice, Jpap, Jm would have told FF after he was turned to do exactly what he said and not be online? I find that extremely easy to believe. If you look at the timing of his post last night it was 40ish min after nightfall, he was definitely there at nightfall so why did it take him so long to say something else, he cast a vote and gone. I think everyone can agree that FF when speaking has a unique ability to make himself seem guilty. If he was converted I think the vamp team would have said to him in the 40 min before he posted last night don't say a **** thing, cast a vote with some explanation and don't get back on till nightfall or even after.

Vampire bite/slayer's staking (if vampire bites slayer and slayer stakes vampire then it will be a coin toss as to who dies)

is what I was looking at in the order of events.

I didn't read that as applying to the situation in question though. That seems to be a pretty specific circumstance, separate from what we're talking about.

I can see them saying that, yes. Can I see him abiding it? Maybe... leaning more toward probably not. Add to it the fact that the turn is going to be their only "voice" in the thread; I don't think they would turn someone just to tell him to STFU. It seems unlikely to me.

Yeah but him being their only voice in the thread would be a low profile one (who has already stated that he wouldn't have much internet access) and would only apply till tonight when they have the chance to convert another.
