Mafia 73: Werewolf Game!

JB, looks like you forgot to edit one of your communicating board posts. :raspberry:

From what I can see, there are two aspects of the game that everyone is divided about.

IMO, we should just decide that where RC and dead communicating team members is concerned, we should just leave that up to whoever is modding that particular game.

If the mod feels that once dead you are dead, it should be posted in the rules for the sign up thread. The same holds true for the RC aspect of the game. If it isn't posted in the rules concerning these two aspects, then it must be assumed that it is O.K. to do so.

We aren't going to be able to please everybody because we are so different. The one thing we have in common besides aquariums is we enjoy these games. Let's not tear the one thing that can bring such diverse people together apart.

Its impossible to police a dead player and know if they are communicating with their team. They could just set up another thread.
I have no problem with JB and Kash talking to JM. My problem was the post sent to the town from Kash. It would be okay for Kash to tell JM all that but JM needs to put it in his own words. Since the MOD is also in the room they can see if the post is a dead talking from the grave or just the idea being passed on in their own words.

As for RCing....I don't think it should be allowed. Its an innocent tactic, in 70+ games I can only think of a handful of times where it has worked to the mafias advantage. Most times mafia only comes out after the innocent comes out.

If the mod sets up the communicating boards as FF did then the communicating aspect can be monitored. Yes, they can set up another board if the rules say once dead always dead, but that could happen anyway. We just need to trust that everyone will be on their best honor and respect the mod's wishes on that rule.

I haven't played as many games as you well know, but, I have seen rC even false RC and from what I have seen once it is done the game is pretty much over.

But some don't see a problem with it. So as I said that should be a game by game decision by the mod to avoid heated discussion over the subjects at hand.

Do you guys find it odd for the mod to be in the chat with the communicating? Not sure I think it is wrong, but until recently I hadn't seen it before, so to me it is kinda strange????

Well, at least we had a game with no UD's...

personaly, I think that the mod having access to the communicating boards could be a good thing provided they don't input into strategies but use that medium to answer questions that communicating teams have.

It would also allow the mod to monitor dead communicators if the specific game rules say once dead you are dead.

I completely agree. One thing I'd like to mention is that it's a game for both sides, not just the innocents. I would be all for the elimination of RCing. That would have prevented a lot of the frustrations.
