my humble tylo snail tank

What species do you currently have? Right now I have:
1) Orange
2) Poso Orange
3) Orange Spotted
4) Yellow Antenna
5) Gold-Spotted
6) Yellow-Spotted
7) White Spotted
8) Golden
9) Chocolate Poso
10) Brown-shell Yellow (maybe Yellow Poso?)
11) Black-shell Yellow

at that temperatre, it;s fine. Initially i have 3 endlers, 1 passed away and left the 2 which have been in the tank for 6 months. i think most tropical fish should do ok in that temperature.

i have orange, yellow antenna, yellow spotted, brown shell yellow, black shell yellow, white spotted.

used to have golden, chocolate poso and king snails.

BTW, what is the difference between orange and poso orange? have your chocolate poso bred? i believe the babies will not have the sand covered shells like their parents and i believe the sandy shells are man-made. Found any babies that are hybrids?

The Orange and Poso Orange are both from Lake Poso, I believe. The headfoot is brighter orange in the Poso Orange, but the biggest difference is the shell. The shell of the "orange" is striped, while the Poso Orange has a solid color, dark shell. See the below link for some of my pictures. I have a few juvenile "Orange" rabbit snails, and a whole bunch of adult Poso Orange. For a better picture of the two species, check out Aristocratama's website.

Yes, my chocolates have bred like crazy for me. They produce some young with light shells and some with dark brown shells, but no "sandy" coating. I believe that these snails pick up this coating in Lake Poso from the mud. The sandy coating is starting to wear off of my wild-caught breeders.

I keep most of my species that are similar in different tanks--I have 7 different Tylo tanks right now! I have heard about hybrids on one of the German forums, but have not seen any in my tanks.

saw your picture, i guess i have the poso orange then.yes i do have 3 chocolate poso babies that is exactly like what you described for the shells.

i have about 35 babies from the various types i have and no hybrids until now. Maybe soon, i hoped not.

nah my german is zero and i read that link before but understand nothing even when i use google translate. :P

i feed my snails green peas, micro fish pellet and dried indian almond leaves. what do you feed yours?

i noticed you have yellow shrimps in your sulawesi tank. used to have that too and bred like crazy. they do really well in sulawesi tanks!
