Furunculosis

Good luck, Juice. I am confident you'll cure your fish and will have gained knowledge and experience in the process. ;)

Juice, you have absolutely no reason to apologize. You have been nothing but polite and gracious in all your posts. I apologize for anything I've said that may have made you uncomfortable, which is the last thing I ever want to do to anyone.

This forum is really here for us to have fun, learn, share our enthusiasm for fish keeping, seek help when needed and help others when we can.

Often we get in debates, (especially in the FW Illness & Disease Forum) usually friendly, and most often non-adversarial. Even when things get a little testy - those involved, I'm sure, have good intentions, if not always tact.

At any rate, please be assured that you are not responsible for any bad manners displayed here.:)

Juice never apologize for other's reactions. Your initial action was just the right thing to do. You had a problem through no fault of your own and sought a solution. People will do what they will.

How are things going, Juice? I hope things are getting better. Please give us an update.

Hey Mel :)

Things are going good so far, I've started to give them some food dipped in the meds and they have taken to it! The fish seem to be a bit more active as well, and the one that had the biggest issues is still alive, quite skinny, but I can see no hemorrhaging and the sore on his side is pretty much healed up. He is eating like crazy but doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, and I'm not sure why. I've been doing 40% water changes every other day with a few drops of prime in between, as I'm sure a lot of my BB has died off with the first doses of meds. Just trying to maintain water quality at this point and keeping a close eye on my fish.
Thanks again for your concern, you've been and continue to be SO helpful!

Sounds very encouraging Juice. I'm tempted to say you've got it knocked, but I'd like to hear that the skinny fish is putting on weight before I go that far. Great job!

Ditto. I am so glad to hear that the news it good. I really hope things continue to get better. Little nanner is a fighter lmao.

I so hope it's over! I'm hoping he puts on some weight also, just going to have to spoil him for the next few weeks provided he survives! Thanks SubRosa! :)

Thanks Ash, I hope they get better too. I'd like to not have to deal with fishy deaths for a while after this so fingers crossed. NannerFish is fighting the good fight! He doesn't want to leave his woman lolol

I don't normally recommend beefheart as a fish food but this is an instance where it could do some good. Just be on top of your parameters and any uneaten bits that lay around more than a few minutes.
