egyptian mouthbrooders

my parents said that they dont plan to take care of them because they dont know how and since theyre retired they want to go vacationing and stuff. im going to sell most of my fish that i cant take with me and just put the closed tanks in storage until i graduate. i might leave up the 55g and put just some real cheap fish so that there is still something easy for them to enjoy, but the rest of my money i get from selling my fish im going to put into having one extremely nice tank.

Wow... beautiful fish!

still searching for where to buy them but i found this awesome pic

That's a really nice one. When you find them, let me know.

wetthumbaquatics had them, but they are now retired....

Austin, this fish is an old classic species. It is one of the very first African cichlids known in the hobby. It was popular on the 60's and 70's, but now it is not too much available.

It looks like it range extends into Lake Victoria, so they may be listed there. You might try a Cichlid club if there is one local to you.

I really was talking about Pseudocrenilabrus multicolor; the original dwarf egyptian mouthbrooder. Now I saw you were talking about Pseudocrenilabrus nicholsi. Oops...sorry! :o
