Sorry for my absence here guys, its been kind of a long and rough weekend for a variety of reasons. I'm getting caught up now, I should have more time to participate during the week.
My first thought coming into this game was going with a JL-style completely random vote on the first day, but now I'm questioning that logic since, like everyone has already said, if we slip on on the first night, that could very easily make or break the game.
I vote to test JohnLarson, and no I don't have a solid reason why, other than self-preservation for the sake of the town. If I get a better reason to vote for anyone else, I'll change it.
Sploke, in the second paragraph you say you were going to vote randomly but then said it wouldn't work well. However you then go on to vote for JL for no reason other than to make sure you have a vote.
I find this interesting because I fail to see how your vote was anything but random. Unless you actually had a reason?
UN, who told you I was a really good player? You should vote for them!
I have not played in the last few games. Maybe I am rusty or had a tramatic head injury while I was gone. Not knowing how many mafia there really is - is a major part of the game. The mods that let you know where wrong to let you know.
So you think I am distancing from Razzlefish? So we both must be evil?
I would hardly call the size of the scum team to be "nothing"
It's important to know especially when there are so few players and the game can end quickly.
I am not focusing on it, but it was the popular topic at the time. If you saw something else I should have pointed out and didn't, please enlighten me.
Still a dumb idea IMO. Defensive playing hasn't won a game for the town as far as I know. First and foremost you vote for scum.
You said this "So it's been almost a day since the thread was started and the only person yet to show up is UN. Not really his style............"
Yes, it isn't his "style" to hold back posting BUT the ONLY way I can take the part where you say "the only person yet to show up is UN" was completely wrong and I see no way else to spin that...I do not believe that you were referring to him not posting as much as he normally does. I think you were referring to him not posting at all, which was incorrect.
Even if you truly didn't mean that other people are known to be higher posters and weren't around much, yet you are saying that you singled out UN? Either way I find it interesting.
I vote to genetically test Razz
I vote to geneticly test JL.
He hasn't been all that helpful with his finger pointing and at the moment he seems to be most likely scum.
Alright now that I have calmed down from my almost UD (It seemed like it was much closer than it really was but still), I can get to better reasons.
When JL started the game, he seemed so interested in post count and how in 20 minutes he could become the top poster while in reality he hasn't said one word. Then after his vote on myself it seems all he has talked about was getting people to vote.
It wasn't just to make sure I had a vote...at the time I had two votes on me. As I stated, it was basically self-preservation, so my voting choices were salf-limited to those who already had one vote against them. Among those people, yes JL was a shot in the dark but in the case that I still had two votes going in to nightfall, at least my chances of survival were left to a coin toss.
This of course was all negated by the vote-changing after the fact that left more votes on others.

Interesting that JL and Raz had their votes on each other
It is a definite possibility, since Raz is now confirmed evil.
I feel like there is way too much reasoning in this post to be a distancing effort, esp when I believe at this point Raz had at least one vote on him if not two.
Just documenting Raz's reasoning on his vote on JL.
Esp since JL had two votes on him at that point, if either one of them (assuming both are evil) were killed off on night one, it would be a decent effort to try and keep the other in the clear.
So Ballyhoo, what do you think of UN's final vote and not switching. We know that they were online at the time and could have switched.
I get the impresion from your post that you think UN did not switch because they did not want to draw attention to themselves and were attemptng to hide. Would these be the actions of an innocent player?
Then what made you choose JL over Raz?

Sploke first it looks first like you are trying to defend your post from last night, and then it looks like maybe you think JL should be considered for your next vote.
I think I'm confussed by these two posts, or was that the idea?
