Mafia 92: Night of the living Mafia... the play

1) The zombies will use their hits the nighfall after they are linched so they should watch that days events and (with some hopeful loyalty) make a good dicision. I know they have no connection to either team but i would hope that they would work in the towns favor....... Although it would be the town who voted them off. Now I've just confused myself even more! Haha

2) I guess I should have reworded my original statement. It is not really solid advice mut more of a suggestion that I hope people will consider when using their zoombie hits.

Razz, here's what you said below:

I agree that the the player who now has the option to hit someone based on a gut feeling should think long and hard about whether or not it is worth it. However, Since they do not have any connection to a particular team but the zombies, I would hate to see someone go easy in a game like this. If I were to be linched and had the option of hitting someone to help the zombie team, I'd take it but that's just me. Just some open advice, any zombies who decide to use their hit should pay very close attention to the next days events.

I've bolded a couple of things above, to highlight what is wrong with your statement:

1. You acknowledge understanding that the zombie team is their own entity.
2. You explain that, if zombified, your loyalty would go strictly with the zombie team.
3. You proceed to give townie-sounding advice to the zombie team.

There's a complete disconnect between point 3, and the other two points above. Based on points 1 and 2 above, there is no reason to give the advice you gave in point 3. You basically say "Zombies are on their own, and as a zombie I'd do whatever needed to ensure a zombie win, but zombies should watch the game to help the town."

Your flow of logic doesn't make sense to me. Please respond.

Ah, another bright day of mafia...

First off, congrats on the job but am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy in this statement?

I agree that eary in the game OMGUS and gut feelings tend to be less than spot on but I wouldn't count on every gut feeling to be "less than favorable".

No OMGUS between games! :lipssealedsmilie:

Thank you JB that helps a lot!

Just some of my thoughts...

IS there a reason you're so defensive about it? I noted that you we're jumping in there head first (like I normally do) and then jm1212 noted it and you got nervous and jumped on it. See, what I'm thinking now is that me thinking such a thing, meh, that's nothing, no one takes me all too seriously anyway, and it's day 1. Then Jm comes in and says the same thing. You get scared, for reasons unknown. Of course, now I think it's cause you're mafia. So, Ice, care to explain why you got so jumpy when Jm also commented on your jumping in head first?

hypocrisy? Me? Where? Care to explain that, cause I'm not seeing it...

What's wrong with a simple warnig? And it wasn't my first post in the game either, Post 8 was. I got me a job and wanted ter warn you all about me not being her at nightfall. Next time I'll just not show up and you'll all vote me for not being there...

I agree with this, when will you peeps stop thinking I'm a newb simply cause I tend to be spontainious.

It was a joke, sheesh, is there no day 1 joking allowed in this game? I even had "lol" and a smily! :mad2:

1st i tend to agree with ff here i dont see any kind of hipocracy in that statement

2nd if ff didnt put in his usual mucking of the thread i think we would all lynch him for trying to lay low or something

First of all there is no way a zombie hit early in the game could win, or help win the game for the zombie team. A zombie win could only come from a hit late in the game.

Second is a question.
A townie lynched becomes a zombie....Does a townie hit by a zombie, become a zombie?

You make a good point and I see your logic but I am mostly trying to figure out how I would handle the situation if I were linched. On one hand I feel that one needs to be loyal to their current team but on the other, they should be loyal to their original team. Having never played a game like this I have found myself having trouble keeping three teams straight. I want to get rid of scum and help the town but then if linched how can I throw all that out the window? Do I?

I hope this clears things up a little bit but believe me, as confusing as it sounds, it is far worse in my head! :eek3:

It's not that difficult of a concept we're talking about here, and the quotes in your signature indicate that you consider yourself a "science buff." People interested in science tend to be thinkers. The confusion that you're expressing seems a little over the top.

For now, I vote to lynch RazzleFish

*sigh* i'm not feeling very "mafia-y" this game... *sigh* i may withdraw if I can't bring myself to care... but that's just how I feel, moving on:
