I could see it be taken as jumpy and defensive if I had responded to your post, but seeing as a 2nd person chimed in on the same thing I became wary and questioned it. I do like how you both have managed to post other posts but sidestep the question of why shouldn't I be looking at those 3.

I was just wondering why you thought you should be watching those three after only a few posts in the thread. maybe its just my nature, but I usually like to look into people a bit more than what would be a "check-in" post and some other banter.

I think the whole Zombie thing is a waste of time.Anyone innocent doesn't know if the person they are hitting is innocent or not, mafia can't do a zombie hit. I for one would try to kill scum but I've been known to switch sides in the past. I guess it depends on how I feel at the time and how close the numbers are. If one more innocent kill won it for the mafia I'd probably vote that innocent off just to win.

I need a better hobby then mafia games... I have been thinking the same thing. I need a nice summer long break... no promises.

I never said that, I just said I find it strange you jumped into the game so quickly, usually theres a full 24 hours of BS, but not this game...

Took a small nap (actually, I fell asleep at the computer) feeling a little better now. So I'll review your original post, Ice, see if I can't find a reason not to look at them (besides it being day 1)

Its what was posted they got me looking and I explained why in the post. There isn't a set number of posts before something can strike you. You questioned me after only 1 of my posts,how is it different?

I've got a personal situation going on which I explained in the sign up. I don't really know how much time I have per day between all the discussing going on at home so I feel like I need to push the envelope. If it gets me lynched or hit so be it.

Seems to me that, with this format, there's the potential for the town to lose quite a few folks rather quickly. In a normal game, things usually start poorly for the town in terms of townies being lynched early. It could get worse here with poorly placed vig/zombie kills. Any townie being lynched needs to really think hard as to whether taking their vig kill is worth it, especially early on, when there's not much to go on. As the zombie kill isn't mandatory, if someone doesn't have a strong suspect, they shouldn't take the kill IMO.

I agree with this. Especially early in the game we will be working with very little reliable information.

The kill is supposed to be for a zombie win, seems to me the first few zombies would not be able to influence the outcome and therefore cant win. So they should not hit. Unless I have read the win and zombie hit rules wrong.

I agree and disagree, yes there won't be much info and without info the hit would probably be misplaced but at the same time how many times have you had a gut feeling about someone but had no way to prove it and were right. I'd hate to be lynched and not be able to take a shot especially if it turns out I was right about who I wanted to hit. I guess what I'm saying is just use your own judgement.

On that note I do think I'll watch you 3, doubt all 3 are mafia as the posting is to close but I could see Mad being mafia and thinking up the idea or Rich or Doom being mafia latching onto an innocent Mad idea.

The town would want the hits to take out mafia, the mafia would want the hits to take out townies. From this point of view, you (saying to use your judgement and not hesitate) would be evil. You even say that the hit would likely be misplaced. The other three people I quoted here all said that the Zombies should't use their hits for fear of hitting townies. I personally agree with them.

actually, FF...with the series of events being posted like that, Ice's logic seems to be a bit clearer...mafia would not want the zombies to take their hit because 1. it lowers the amount of innocents they can hide behind, especially if some of the 'controversial' players are taken out in OMGUS zombie hits and such, and 2. the zombies are competition to win.

IS there a reason you're so defensive about it? I noted that you we're jumping in there head first (like I normally do) and then jm1212 noted it and you got nervous and jumped on it. See, what I'm thinking now is that me thinking such a thing, meh, that's nothing, no one takes me all too seriously anyway, and it's day 1. Then Jm comes in and says the same thing. You get scared, for reasons unknown. Of course, now I think it's cause you're mafia. So, Ice, care to explain why you got so jumpy when Jm also commented on your jumping in head first?

What's wrong with a simple warnig? And it wasn't my first post in the game either, Post 8 was. I got me a job and wanted ter warn you all about me not being her at nightfall. Next time I'll just not show up and you'll all vote me for not being there...

it wouldn't be the first time the mafia were clever enough to "threaten" that they might quit because of whatever reason..... it might be the first one to want to quit because they have a job though.... at any rate, it's all a baseless threat unless the PPM in to Bala is in.

alright, guys... roles are all assigned. i've been working on my house all day, so i'll have to send the pm's out later tonight. only the doc, detective and mafia will get pm's. if you do not get one by tomorrow morning, you are an innocent townie. i'll be posting the game thread when i get home from work... some time around 9am tomorrow. first nightfall will be wednesday night. first 3 nights will be 48 hours, after that they will be 24 hours.
