zaffy parents are just too old and uncool to understand us. God our music is so much better

AAF I plan on being a gasoline transfer technician or a stay at home son.

zaffy how old are you? and my parents are pretty cool most of the time. maybe bc theyre younger than most of my friends parents.

I had a birthday a while ago where I turned 16. But really, can you believe when my mom would say that junk, it's stupid. I needed another iPod and she was all like buying stupid stuff like a credit card or something dumb

I hate when like they say to get a job, I mean like I'm gonna be a vet or biologist someday

Here is the thing about growing up. It sucks. Working sucks. So you have two choices. Work hard, pay your taxes and don't be a burden on society. Or be a general burden on society or waste of space. If you are able bodied and minded there is no reason why you should not have a job. I worked every summer since i was 14, and co-opped my senior year of high school at my summer job i had since i was 16. Everytime i see someone on welfare that is able to work, it severely angers me. The problem with people today is that they are afraid of real "work". Actual physical work. So what im saying is, get a job and keep at it. It will only help you out as you go along in life. Dont quit a job just because its "hard" sometimes or you dont like it. That teaches you nothing. Stick it out. And when you get to a point where you move up in position at a different employer, that is what makes you a good employee. Learning from the ground up, and where you started out at makes you a better person and employee.

I agree 100%, it's equally sad to see welfare checks be wasted on things like luxury items, or even fish and pets, when the money SHOULD be going towards improving their quality of life while they find a job. At least when they spend it on drugs it's because they can't help themselves, the other stuff is just a joke.

A good example of sticking with a job is this: my mom had worked the same job for 10 years until recently. She was working 6 or even 7 days a week, had 60 hour work weeks, and never got paid very much for it. For sticking it out, she won 3 awards in a row, and they just gave her a job as a paralegal in return for all the work she's done. She works 9-5, 5 days a week now, and they're even paying her to go back to college and get a degree. So even if your job sucks, stick with it and you'll be rewarded.
