72 Gallon Bow Front Tank Journal/Build!!!

There was like 5 gallons of water, and it was in the shade, and the temps have been

66F-96F this month, with an average of 76F.

But those are normal even in a fish tank, and its not like instant. I had the same first same thought as u did, but there is no reason for it to crack. But whatever, I am going to get a bigger tank now

One of the things people are trying to tell you is that eventually the rams will bang the heck out of the cories and every other fish in that tank, even though it doesn't seem that way now. They are extremely territorial when spawning, protecting eggs, caring for young. I had a pair in my 72G discus tank once......Until they spawned and every time my discus got within a foot of where the rams were they would whack my discus harder than you can imagine. My poor discus would be grazing along and whack, whack! The cories are going to eventually get whacked too. They are silly little fish without GPS.

okay, well if u say so, I will move the rams or corys asap. I guess u know since u have proof. I am putting the rams or the corys in a 29G this weekend. Thx for heads up.

The discus are being sold this week for $120 for all even though they are stunted, the buyers don't care, and they say the fish aren't, but I keep telling them and showing them pics, but oh well, there wallets. Whatever.



sorry for all the algae, i had a green algae bloom last week, and can't find my mag float
and sorry for the water being a bit dirty, just did a 50%WC on all tanks.

is that algae everywhere? anyway make sure they have a big enough tank and make sure they dont put the baby discus with the big ones.

EDIT: your upside down cat will also appreciate buddies, and will live longer and happier with them.

Not all syno species live in groups. Depends on the species. Some do and some are very territorial.

yeah, those are pics of all tanks(20, 72, and 10), my other 10 cracked

but replacing the 10 with a 29G

the baby is separate

that is algae, look above, i had a algae bloom due to a timer problem
