i try to set up a 20gal long shrimp tank
so i went to lfs and bought 5 pieces of driftwood
sign says 7.99 per pound
when i brought them to cashier , she weighted one by one
first one was 0.51lb - she charged as 1lb
second one was 1.81lb - she charged as 2lbs
so i asked if she can put all together and weight them all at once,
she said no , i bought them anyway cuz i need them
but i came home weighted them , it was 4.8lb in total
they look bigger in pic but im gonna put all in 20gal long, they not that big and excatly 4.8lbs...
do u think it is fair or it is bad?

You paid for 6.0 lbs and got 4.8 lbs. Do you really need an opinion other than your own?

If they say that they are selling the wood by weight then they should sell it by weight. Not by weight plus some extra that they feel like throwing in there to rip you off. I would complain, did you try contacting a manager?

The cashier is an unthinking idiot. I know the place in question, and know the owner pretty well and would never expect such a situation. The only problem at your end is that you left the store with it. I would still say something to management and to Ziggy directly if you can.

I would take the wood back, ask to speak to a manager and get my 16+ dollars back.

Manager, not facebook.

+1, facebook is used for advertising purposes mainly and to keep customers up to date on sales, etc. Not for problems such as these, you need to go into the store with your receipt and explain to a manager what happened.
