Mafia 95 - "Mayor's Mansion" (The Play)

Mad, I have explained my reasoning repeatedly. I knew I would be putting a target on my back. I am of the mindset that just because we usually lynch an innocent D1 doesn't mean we should be complacent and accept that we will just naturally do that.

Yes FF did lie in the game. I pulled the posts that showed it. Yes it did make me think him to be scum.

I got a nagging in the pit of my gut and the back of my mind that told me we were making a mistake.

I based my decision on the difference between how this game started because of the build up and delay in starting to how it had dropped off in posts. It caused me to think of the times we had 2 innocents up for the lynch.

So there it is.

If that is the case my best guess is that MC picked DD because her name was on the block. A few, like yourself, have mentioned things recently like the scum were okay with the lynching therefore spencer might be innocent. DD would be the next logical choice to push based on last night's vote count.

I'd like MC to clarify his theory before assuming so...
Listen dawg voted DD maybe cause he was onto something or maybe just as a waste vote I don't really see the way he did yesterday. Of course maybe DD was undecided where to cast the vote, we also don't know what chills roll is and seems kind of weird he voted DD and was the last to vote.

MC, how can you say that "most everyone was convinced [FF] was mafia" and then turn around and say that DD would be obvious in voting FF? Looking back FF's antics certainly gave mafia a good place to hide if they wanted to...

FF was in the lead before DD voted. Had she tacked one on at the end or voted any other person then spencer would have had much lower chance of getting lynched, certainly less than 50%.
Yes but she was one of the last to vote and really did so without much conviction at all. I think it would of looked a lot worse for her in my eyes if she would of cast a vote for FF. .

If you wanted to vote and not stand out as a lone vote, DD was the logical choice, she was out there and had some votes. Voting her instead of being the kill vote on the who played worse tie was a perfect place to hide and of course today you can say "see I knew FF was just being FF", same would apply to Spence, assuming he is a townie as well.

I understand the worry since the quiet would mean a happy mafia team but Wiz that was pretty over the top alarmism, it is day one and the odds are stacked completely against us.

In all the games we have played together, when have I ever cared about standing out as a lone vote?

More than one player commented that it did seem the mafia was happy with how things are going. I was the only one who decided to act on it.

The odds are always stacked against us until we actually start hitting scum and taking down their numbers. That doesn't mean that if you really think we are making a mistake you shouldn't try to avoid that mistake.

Think about it guys, this is a numbers game.

With their nightly hit we are guaranteed to lose 1 innocent every night. Can we also afford to lynch an innocent right along side them?

We had FF and Spence tied for the lynch. They got there on their own accord because of their posting. If I was wrong, it would have not been difficult to get them back on the block. Especially considering we have the best players playing this game.

Would it make sense for me to put myself through what I did just to postpone lynching one innocent to lynch another?

If you step back and look at it objectively, that is what you are accusing me of doing.

You said something like "When FF is quiet, he's usually scum." That means more often than not. Yet, you let a little twinge in your gut tell you to over-ride that because it was too quiet on D1? If FF had been scum, would you seriously expect the scum team to scramble to try to save him?

The timing of your posts with RB's feels coordinated. NPRs doesn't.

So with you, Wiz and MC showing up recently, would you say that you're coordinating?

I think I understand what Wiz was getting at yesterday with it being too quiet and scum were happy, for I had that same feeling. I still felt the need to vote my best suspect so I left my vote where it was. So far Wiz appears to be working hard for the town from what I can tell. What I find interesting is the tag team against him from Mad and RB.

Just for the record...I make a post saying I think something is interesting about someone else's thoughts..heck of a tag team for sure.
