Equipment

Tank - 55 Gallon Perfecto (Needs to be replaced)
Lighting - Coralife 48" PC 4 Bulb Fixure (Running only two 6,700k 65w bulbs)
Filtration - Fluval 205 + Fluval 304
 
The only thing I dont like about bare-bottom tanks is that there is nothing to hide the poop. However, with discus, people generally change the water so frequently that that doesnt matter. I think the tank looks great! Very zen: simple and classy and the driftwood adds an almost fey quality. You can come design my tanks any day ^.~

That's the exact reason to keep it bare bottom. To be able to see every single spec of poo and dirt. To be able to clean it up during the frequent water changes. Instead of letting it settle into the gravel.
